That you believe this is part of the problem.  The Democrats no more 
want freedom than the Republicans do.

You just prefer the shackles offered by the Democrats to the ones 
offered by the Republicans, happily volunteering to give up many 
freedoms for yourself and others nominally in exchange for some 
freedoms you have an emotional attachment to.  All in the name of 
"freedom", of course.

Just because you do not cherish certain freedoms and are willing to 
discard them without a second thought does not mean that everyone else 
does nor that you should have the right to arbitrarily discard *their* 
freedoms at the point of a gun because you have declared them 
unimportant.  That is a grotesque kind of selfishness.
