BTW, it's not just us that are saying it's no breakthrough
energy-wise.  That seems to be the experts' take on it too; even the
experimenters (or at least one of them) forsee it as more useful for
neutron generation than energy production:

Which is not to say that a far more efficient version can't be designed
and built.  Just that that would be its own breakthrough, and that it
does not automatically follow from what's been achieved so far.
