Someone here mentioned sexual matters in '50s. It's true oral contraception wasn't widely available in that decade, nor was abortion. The upside was-- just as one example-- AIDS did not exist in the '50s. So a couple could go to a drive-in and not worry about anything more dangerous than VD or pregnancy.
This is the sort of unintended consequence that keeps conservatives in business.
