Of course Mars will never look as large as the full moon to the naked eye!
Not from the earth.  Someone must have added that as a joke.

The rest of the article is wrong as well, it refers to the encounter
in the summer of 2003, which was indeed (slightly) closer than previous
encounters for many thousands of years.  The next close pass will be in
October and November of this year.
