Who would have thought they would be fighting for
creationism to be taught in public schools in the
21st?

On that thought, I have a cheerful prediction.  We
took evolution for granted for so long that perhaps
we just neglected the culture-war aspects of it
all.  I now suppose the serious efforts by creationists
to teach intelligent design will force the issue
to the attention of the sleeping proletariat.  Ideally, 
many will recognize what an epiphany was Darwin's 
stunning insight.
