Spike, I suspect that glucose might be the alternate fuel with the best

Robert you may recall I ride a recumbent bicycle.  They make a lot of sense
from an engineering point of view: some weight penalty, better for decreased
wind resistance.  On the road they are harder for motorists to see being
closer to the ground.
