I've been browsing http://arxiv.org/ftp/gr-qc/papers/0603/0603032.pdf
and http://esamultimedia.esa.int/docs/gsp/Experimental_Detection.pdf
These seem to be competent efforts.   So the results may be wrong,
but if so it would not be due to incompetence.  Interesting.
