I would go further:

Assuming one is aware of the option, and does not have mitigating circumstances like sacrificing oneself for their survivors' inheritance or believing that they won't go to heaven if they have themselves frozen, then one who is aware of the option and does not exercise it is behaving in an irrational fashion.

It cannot be, as far as I can see, rational to not get frozen simply because "it won't work, anyway".

Five thousand years ago, the rational thing to do was mummification; what could you lose?

Today, it's cryogenics.
