Obviously if they are using a different standard than the email RFCs,  
they have no desire to interoperate at all.  The email RFCs are used  
to subscribe to this list, so it is pretty clear what the local  
standard is.

In this case, both parties claim to be using email RFCs for their  
implementation but at least one apparently is not.
