[extropy-chat] Botnets: shades of future present

eWeek.com has an interesting article about how the war may be lost vis-a-vis
"botnets" [1].  There is an associated /. discussion [2].

The numbers appear to be rather staggering -- 57,000 active bots per day,
4.7 million computers hijacked.

Bad enough that the networks are controlled by evil people.
I shudder to think of what happens when they become controlled by evil AIs.
