How hard is it to see a 300 Kelvin object against a 2
Kelvin background? And that's assuming only
shirtsleeve conditions - no motors or other
'hotspots'...

But this assumes they are just fired stupidly, not by
somebody who understands orbital mechanics. It is not
harder to hit L2 than L1!

The real place to put the space ark is an unknown
orbit. Space is big, and if it is too much of an
hassle to find you it is likely nobody will.
