What about a simple maglev track up Mount Chimborazo, up to 
scramjet ignition regime, and then mostly air-breathing up
to almost Mach 25, topping it off with a bit of rocket burn? 

The more Mach you can do with maglev, the less you have to
have onboard as fuel, obviously.
