But the GLUT is not lying; it is, after all, nothing less than a multiverse
with a population of 2^N people (N being the relevant number of bits, itself
a large number by everyday standards); when you ask it for output, you are
effectively using a time machine to travel forwards and sideways in time to
the relevant part of that multiverse and select one member of its population
to ask; the person thus consulted truthfully reports a subjective
experience.
