Governments never accept reduced income from taxes.
If oil runs out, they will find something else to tax.

Many countries are looking at 'congestion' taxes if you drive into
cities. 'Road-pricing' taxes are also on the way up. Vehicle ownership
taxes will go up. Windmills and solar power installations will have to
be licensed. There is no end to the invention of new taxes.

The only way to avoid government taxes is to do something different to
the mass of the tax-paying public.
