I raise the following not in a partisan spirit, but because I wonder
about the memes and meta-memes in play:

NYT:
<Republicans said Ms. Palin would provide an outlet for women angered
at what they said was the poor treatment of Mrs. Clinton by the Obama
campaign, the Democratic Party leadership and the news media. Nicolle
Wallace, a senior adviser to Mr. McCain, said: "I think the public
pretty much accepts the fact that they played pretty dirty and that
sexism played a role in the primary." >

I haven't been watching the details very closely (still being an
outsider without a vote), but I don't recall anything egregious along
these lines from Obama's camp. Certainly I noticed that press pix of
HRC were almost always unflattering when not chosen to make her look
insane, while those of Obama tended to make him appear as youthfully
vigorous and pretty as possible, given his non-standard features.
What dirty sexism is Wallace referring to?
