Ok lets accept that Gordon Swobe finds it incredible, lets accept that Gordon Swobe cannot think of any way that intelligence alone can produce consciousness without an unknown something extra thrown into the mix. And yet if Gordon Swobe is a rational man he would know that you can't let personal incredulity prevent him from accepting something when there is a mountain of physical evidence supporting it; he would say I Gordon Swobe cannot think of a way for intelligence to produce consciousness, however that inability is my fault because IT MUST BE TRUE. Either that or Charles Darwin didn't know what he was talking about.
