In fact, the book indicates that its content is more or less a
recycling of her doctorate thesis... :-)

BTW, I had some pain in finding the meaning of "to diss" ( 1. (US,
British, slang) to put (someone) down, or show disrespect by the use
of insulting language or dismissive behaviour), but in truth she
sounds *much* less hostile than the average neoluddite or mainstream
commentator, even though the usual pedantic, oh-so-penetrating tone of
critical theory is of course there.

Or perhaps I am just interpreting her language in a too positive way,
I should really like a second opinion...
