Thanks, Damien. Since the article I did cite linked so immediately to 
the BBC piece, I didn't think it necessary to separately include it in my post.

Still, in one way, I may have to agree that I might have "jumped the 
gun" in posting that. I did think it was interesting that a central 
figure was moderating his position, but perhaps I should have gone to 
the trouble of analyzing where I agreed, disagreed, or doubted the 
summary and inferences made by Goklany.

I should also have anticipated the renewed firestorm it might set 
off. Or perhaps this was a sinister plot by me to draw attention away 
from the endless consciousness/Searle discussion...
