"A bad harvest (like Russia had) two years in a row
and a lot of people would not eat."
A question is: doesn't Russia import enough food now? don't they have more &
more foreign currency to import with? I've heard from many who have visited
Russia that it is doing much better than in the '90s and '00s.
The threat in the future might be trade wars caused by overproduction; trade
wars between developing nations armed with WMDs is more likely than famine.
