[ExI] Brain nerve stimulation may boost learning capacities

Sounds a bit similar to how vagus nerve stimulation improves learning.

However, the paper in the link stimulates the nucleus basalis to release 
acetylcholine in the right part of the cortex. The title in the 
sciencedaily article is misleading - this is no mere nerve, this is a 
deep part of the brain:

There is earlier work by Michael Merzenich's team on using it to gate 
cortical plasticity.
