Yes, but while we are working at it, it is also NOT ok to be forced to live
if you don't want do (and this basic freedom would of course become even
more fundamental if and when we were to enjoy undefinite lifespans...).

As to the requirements for being allowed assisted suicide, to go on with
this ending the year on a merry note :-) , I maintain that the only
justification for any such requirement should be an obvious concern for the
verification as reliable and accurate as possible of the actual party's
will, given the obvious finality of the procedure (the argument is more or
less the same as that regarding the difficulty of satisfactorily correcting
judicial mistakes when the execution of the wrongly convicted defendant has
been carried out...).
