Kelly you have seen 2010 Odyssey 2?  That is the one with Hal's creator Dr.
Chandra getting emotional about having to turn him off.  I can easily see a

The good stuff is between about 15 minutes and 28 minutes.  We will have
practical companion computers very soon.  All doubts I once suffered have
vanished with this NOVA episode.
