A 'reasonable' person,  that is a person able to reason, would decide for themselves what they thought about singularity or anything else.  They would snort in derision at the idea that they need to read what someone else things to get and idea of what they should conclude if they bothered to examine the subject and make up their own mind.   They would be even more derisive over the notion that being able to reason is in the least compatible with being told what you 'should' think.   

BTW, I find the approach taken quite thoroughly unreasonable and a rather specious use of probability.
