It doesn't.  Once you observe any special frame of
reference the assumptions underlying Special Relativity
evaporate - any claim of time being equivalent to a
dimension [versus being just another variable] evaporate
and there is no implied time travel.
 
You can't assume the results of Special Relativity are still
true while undermining its sole claim to validity.
