Real estate crisis killed Spain. The government suddenly cut
subsidies, and everything collapsed. Solar is now 1% of Spain's
production.

Wind power, which did not receive such treatment, survived and
now produces 11%.

Moral of the story: don't cut subsidies suddenly. It can kill
the goose that will lay the golden eggs.

And, again, this isn't merely about jobs. It's ability to
power the society when you run out of nonrenewables.

P.S. Spain is about to commit total renewable suicide, it seems:

Moral of the story: don't do it like Spain.
