There is another attempt at the land speed record in the works.

The interesting thing for us perhaps is that they are using 3D printers to
fabricate some parts for this monster. Also, they are taking a not quite
open source, but open approach to their design. I haven't seen where they
have their plans publicly available or anything, but it might be out there
somewhere.
