There are more and more people who not only self-identify that they are
Transhumanists, but actually work in the field (generally as speakers and
authors). I think general transparency is good, and have gone so far as to
"out" myself on PGP (I'm participant hu82E689). Letting others know that
there are like-minded people out there - people they can go talk to and
have a beer with on occasions - is going to help us grow our numbers, IMHO,
which is why I started a Meetup back in Silicon Valley (I believe you
attended some of those), and created h+ magazine. Anything we can do to
bring positive awareness of our group's existence to others is a good thing.
