This definitely could use some emphasis. Ignoring the
physical layer will tend to disagree with you more sooner
than later. Though a lot of that activity would be
about as conscious as you're conscious of your brain
stem activity right now -- but you immediately certainly 
would notice if it's no longer doing its job, the
same as you'd notice your metabolism crashing.

Everything is embodied, somewhere.
