I am not really sure what this statement means.  If it just means that "I
think therefore I am" (meaning I am aware of my surroundings and can
function in them), then fine.  If it means that our conscious self is the
only thing capable of discovering reality (whatever that is), then we have
trusted a very unreliable source of facts.  Just look at all the cognitive
errors that we are susceptible to.  The superstitions.  Humans, are, in
fact, a highly irrational group of beings.​

Can billions of people who all agree on the same thing be wrong?  I just
wish this were laughable.
