[ExI] Objective standards?/was Re: silly 'rules'

Re "I'd like to know what you mean by 'given'" - I mean that my, yours
and others' aesthetic preferences and values are just facts that we
have to live with. I like what I like, and you like what you like. I
think our basic preferences are already frozen when we are 5, at which
point they are nearly impossible to change. Better face the facts and
learn to live with unavoidable personal differences.
