I'm finding it harder and harder to care one way or another, but I think
there is a significantly nonzero chance that Trump at least tries to do
something like this.

I do believe if the people don't want it, it won't happen.  Even if the
military was on his side, I don't think they would coup against the nominal
wishes of the majority of Americans.

What worries me more is that the people will want it in 2020.
