making a new SARS virus is trivially easy, if you have a library of viral
samples. You PCR amplify, ligate, insert into proper feeder cells and wait
a little bit. Can be done in about a day of work for simple viruses. There
is no doubt that the Wuhan Institute of Virology generated lots of new
viruses, they published on it.
