[ExI] The COVID-19 death rate is 3.4%

The World Health Organization just said the death rate for the 2019
coronavirus is 3.4%, that's about 34 times higher than the death rate for
seasonal flu. The earlier estimate was 2% but as we learn more it's gone
up. The head of the W.H.O. Adhanom Ghebreyesus said:

“Globally, about 3.4% of reported COVID-19 cases have died. By comparison,
seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected.”

In a interview with Sean Hannity on State TV that well known expert on
infectious viral diseases Donald Trump said "Well, I think the 3.4 percent
is really a false number".
