I do believe the problem statement lacks sufficient information on starting
conditions.

If the plant filled half the pool, the pool would still "contain" it - but
the plant would only need 1 day to fill it.

If the plant completely filled the pool, the pool would still "contain" it
- but the plant would need 0 days to fill it (since it starts off filling
it).
