*"Dune* <https://www.bookbub.com/books/dune-by-frank-herbert> by Frank
Herbert is about as classic a sci-fi novel as you can find. Published in
1965, it won both the Hugo and Nebula Awards for Best Novel and remains one
of the most compelling and popular books in the genre. So it’s little
wonder that a new film adaptation of *Dune* is going to garner a lot of
attention — by necessity *Dune* 2020 is going to be huge.

Fans were excited when Denis Villeneuve (*Prisoners*, *Sicario*,
*Arrival*, *Blade
Runner 2049*) took on the project in 2015, and now we have an official
release date of December 18, 2020 (a change from the original date of
November 20, implying the studio is impressed with what they’ve seen). That
means it’s time to take stock of everything we know about the film —
because a new *Dune* movie is always going to be big news."

I can't wait!!! I am curious to see how this film compares to the David
Lynch movie... : )
