Even at 1/1,000,000th of the price, it would be worth huge investments to
mine.

16 Psyche has been known of for a while - see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/16_Psyche .  The only news here is the
publication of yet another study showing that it has a large metal content.

There's a case for nudging it into the Earth-Moon system, perhaps in GEO,
for much more feasible access to its wealth (mineral and scientific).
