Thanks for that Colin.  I have seen marvelous minds give up on the problem of unfriendly (or indifferent) AI.  Eugen Leitl was one I think.  

 

Does anyone here stay in contact with Eugen?  How’s that lad please?

 

If we don’t assume a solution exists, we cannot find the solution if it does exist.
