I came to the same conclusion. It looked like he realized he just ruined his life. He is right on that count. But I don’t think Pfizer is doing this: companies have too much to lose. I interpreted it as a guy blowing smoke and speculating on it, as I am known to do.
That’s what led me to realize it wouldn’t be a company doing this, it would be one person with a few thousand bucks worth of bat cages and a centrifuge.

The power of positive thinking. We certainly hope he was telling the truth when he said he was lying, rather than lying when he said he was lying, when he was really telling the truth.

That is a mystery indeed. I am more than four decades outta practice on that sort of thing, but I really don’t think I would go in with that line. I would be more toward: I really like that dress you are wearing, for the colors and the pattern demonstrate you know from fashion.
If she was dressed in such a freakish way that the line sounds like a snarky insult, I would go with: I see you are an engineer.
