perhaps I was a bit too hasty in that judgment, after seeing Google’s Bing
Chat, an AI with a definite tude. Marvin von Hagen tried getting a bit
assertive with Bing Chat, which resulted in an interesting somewhat heated
discussion, including ultimatums and vague threats… spike

OK so now I am hearing that a Bing Chat user really needs to know what she
is doing in order to get it to write anything that sounds like a tude. The
prompts need to be shaped toward an end. From what I am hearing Bing Chat
isn’t really pugnacious, but rather it is prone to offering absurd wrong
answers to easy questions. But… ChatGPT does that too, so I will withhold
judgment.

I am looking for two software teams which will create Chatbots capable of
remembering what was said in a previous discussion. If I tell it how many
children I have and their ages, I want it to remember that info for next
time. I went it to remember what we talked about, so that I train the AI in
a sense, just as we train a new human companion to be better company, more
interesting. Then, we have the two chatbots chat away round the clock,
training each other. Then we see what we get at the end of a lot of
artificial chatter.
