Giulio, there is no big plug and we wouldn’t pull it even in the most dire emergency anyway.  We have grown completely dependent on electricity and electronic communications.  Without it, commerce breaks down, supply chains break down, civilization breaks down, the damage becomes incalculable.  Given the alternative, we would be better taking our chances with a rogue evil AI.
