[ExI] Hofstadter now fears AI

I know Hofstadter and Eliezer slightly, I fix Hofstedte's Wikipedia
page for him when it departs intolerably from reality, and followed
Eiizers shock level 4 mailing list when most of the paper clip
arguments were going on. The earliest version of "The Clinic Seed''
is posted there.

There is a lot of spread in how people think about AI.

At a Zoom meeting with some tech folks today someone who is working on
it talked about the combining of GPT-4 with Mathematica. Seems to be a
remarkable engineering tool. Ghod knows we need it with all the
problems facing us.

Also turns out that the combination does a remarkable job of educating
people on math.

Some time ago I mentioned that China was being left in the dust
regarding the government (CCP) coming down hard on AI.

The Washington Post has come to much the same conclusions.
