Back in the old days - when I was a kid - Mcdonalds cooked their fries in
beef fat (James Beard, the famous chef, said that beef kidney fat was the
best).  Chefs said that they could not cook a better fry than McDs.  They
changed in response to public pressure to something else.  I wonder if they
ever changed back?  bill w
