John was never banned, although he was temporarily placed on moderation.  We remonstrated with him repeatedly for insulting people.  He persisted.  My notion was that if his posts were delayed even a coupla hours by simple moderation, it could allow flame wars to die out and arguments to get out of synch.  It was just moderation, not a full ban.  He chose to create a competing list where personal insult was allowed.  OK then.

 

As far as I know, John can still post here if he chooses, but by mutual agreement it was decided to encourage the ExI list to refrain from personal insult or attack.  Insult and personal vitriol are not fruitful in discussions.

 

ExiMod is the arbiter of that, for I have long since given up that burden.
