Been reading more about the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone that the Russian
girl Elenya has portrayed so starkly with her photolog of a motorcycle
ride through the zone. Apparently most of the radiation outside the
immediate area of the nuclear plant is from Cs-137, which has a half
life of 30 years. In 100 years its rad level will be down to safe
levels for habitation, leaving LOTS of developed property available for
exploitation.

I was wondering if it might be a smart high-risk investment to buy land
in the exclusion zone now at extremely cheap prices, and sit on it
until it is safe, whiling away the century in one's dewar.
