Building and launching a relativistic self-rep probe
is the equivalent of a science fair project for an advanced culture.
Arecibo is for the galactic nursery strictly.
Transmission in the hydrogen band as a means to initiate contact? Gimme a
break.
Have you noticed how Earth looks from space over several last decades? Bright
monochromatic sources are an earmark of primitive communication.
