I would hope that we wont get such huge discontinuities, without also
having intermediate groups who can facilitate communication between
entities at each extreme.
Something very important in this for us is to promote the concept of
respecting each other, no matter our (chosen) difference. The kinds of
problems we can get from lack of communication are primarily based in
the entities not respecting each other, and not trying to empathise
with each other.
