You seem to think that Democrats don't do exactly the same thing you 
describe...

Partisanship outside the ballot box is hardly a Republican monopoly. 
Indeed, Democrats have been practicing it for far longer than the 
Republicans. It just took the GOP 30 years or so to catch up, and now 
that they have, Democrats seem to think it's suddenly unfair.
