Yep. *Cultural* amnesia is what I had in mind. The failure to transmit this 
sort of history to the kids. I would never use so horrid a term as, like, 
*ignorance*... :)

And Spike is certainly one of those who does make an effort to backfill the 
gaps left by a, like, historically nescient cultural apparatus <harrumph>.
