Pity that they couldn't just donate some of their research money to
project gutenberg ( http://www.gutenberg.org/ ) which has been doing
this kind of thing for ages.  They are up to 16000 or so, so depending
on whether 1,00,000 = 100,000 or not, they are not too far off.
