[extropy-chat] Operation Clam Bake

Wow Keith that was a great article. I'm embarrassed that I was so
uninformed.

I've read all about you well before I joined this list.
It seems things have changed in the last few years. I've learned most of
what I know about Scientology from Operation Clam Bake and a website in
Russia. For the last 10 years I have prevented several people from joining
the cult and I had a girl friend that has an uncle high up at the "Gold
Base."

The Wikipedia info is brand new and very heartening.

Just a word about me, I had "UFO Abduction" fantasy/scenarios occur
throughout my youth. Budd Hopkins hypnotized me in my late teens and I
became an "Abductee." Thankfully, I also began to show bipolar symptoms and
a writing professor at NYU sent me to a doctor. Once on Prozac and Lithium
the aliens stopped visiting me in my sleep. Since then I have become an
aggressive debunker of all things "alien" and scientology has been one of my
most hated organizations on the planet. Psychiatry and medication saved my
life and restored my reason. I want to crush scientology.

Let me know what I can do to help. I am willing to do anything and very
glad to have heard from you.

pete

That's simply not true. www.operatingthetan.com holds information about my
adventures with the UFO cult and it is in the US.

short version here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Henson

and if you Google "sex drugs cults" (without the quotes) the first link
will take you to an evolutionary psychology article I wrote on how cults
get such a hold on human brains.

Incidentally, if you want some low cost glory, now is the time to get into
the fight. It looks very much like the scientology cult is on the ropes
and won't last out the year. Tom Cruise probably had more effect than I
did.
